Crust Bros have recently opened up a branch opposite Waterloo tube station serving up freshly baked and delicious pizzas. You can build your own pizza, starting with the base, then adding your choice of pesto or marinara sauce and adding toppings of your choice, ranging from grilled veg to various meats. Or you can choose from a number of pizzas with some pretty good names such as Notorious P.I.G, Kaling Me Softly and White Boy. There is also the option to ‘vegan’ up your pizza or opt for a gluten free base.
We went for one build your own pizza with pesto base and courgettes, mushrooms, caramelised onions and mozzarella topping (fantastic for vegetarians!) and one Seven Nation Salami: Margherita topped with Tuscan Salami and sprinkled with Parmigianna Regiano DOP. Both were fantastic pizzas with crispy edges, perfect gooey cheese and loads of tasty toppings – we ate them pretty quickly! Not as quickly as they were made though…they take just 90 seconds to bake in their awesome oven. The staff were helpful and friendly and there’s plenty of room for sitting in and munching some really good pizza.
