The Silk Restaurant is situated in the 5* Courthouse Hotel just off of Carnaby Street near the Liberty department store.
One of the most original aspects of this restaurant is the fact it is set in a former magistrate’s court and features the original judge’s bench, dock and witness stand from its days as the Great Marlborough Street Magistrates Court!
The Silk Restaurant’s beautiful colourful decoration matches its rich pan-asian menu focusing on Chinese, Indian and Thai flavours.
For starters we had the lamb sheekh kebab and the thai grilled beef strips marinated in green curry and basil.
For mains we had the grilled taramind duck breast and the tandoori lamb
The food was beautifully presented, extremely flavoursome and the service was wonderful. All in all, a really fantastic experience.
Also look out for the Asian and Japanese afternoon tea.
