South Place Hotel

South Place Hotel is a fantastic place to visit for a drink or meal in the City and is a around a 3 minute walk from Moorgate and Liverpool Street.

The downstairs restaurant and bar area is beautiful but it does not stop there! There are bars on the first and second floors and also a rooftop terrace. There may even be some I have missed. Exquisite decor in the bars with comfortable sofas and chairs and you can actually hear your friends / colleagues speak! My favourite bar is the Secret Garden bar which has a tropical feel to it and you ring a phone for service! Another bonus is that the bars stay open late.

Part of the hotel is a members club but I have never had any trouble having a drink in the bars unless they have been specifically hired out. 

I have eaten at the bottom floor restaurant – the food was very tasty and the service was attentive. We had the chicken pie, rack of lamb, burger and risotto and all were delicious. South Place also offers a bottomless brunch at the weekend for £30 per person which I would love to try.

Is it a bit of a splash your cash venue and they add service on to the drinks as well. Definitely worth it though.
